Indicative core route of about 14 days, usually between 12 and 16 days depending on the stages and the coastal extension you choose. Stages marked “option” are decided with you.

South options

The core route links Antananarivo, Antsirabe and Tritriva, Ranomafana, Ambalavao, Isalo and then the Tuléar region. From there, several extensions are possible depending on your pace, your appetite for walking and the time you have.

The Tsaranoro valley

An extension for those who enjoy walking: hiking or free time depending on the programme agreed. Guided climbing is arranged separately and is not included in the itinerary. This stage depends on your fitness, the pace you want and the time available.

Coast · Anakao and Saint-Augustin

An ending south of Tuléar, with the crossing over to Anakao.

Coast · Ifaty, Ambatomilo, Salary Bay

An ending north of Tuléar, along the coastline.

Both coastlines

When time, budget and your wishes allow, the two areas can be combined. That choice is what makes the trip length vary.
